We individually stack our lumber with strips so it can air dry or you can get your lumber green if time is a consideration.

Each piece of lumber is hand-sawn on our high-quality Timber Harvester® band saw mill. Our mill can cut boards or beams up to 24 feet in length with variable widths. All of our wood is rough-cut, but because of the quality of our band saw it looks as if it were finished. Speaking of finished, we can finish your lumber for you if you would like, but if you like that slightly rough look, then we are what you are looking for. If you need a special cut item, let us know. We can custom cut any size wood you need. We can cut beams to meet your specifications. For instance, if the plans to your house or office calls for a 3" x 4" x 20' long beam, then all you need to do is contact us at Dixieland Lumber Company. We can also cut flooring and siding for your needs or we can tongue-and-groove your lumber for you.

We can even cut enough lumber for you to build a house if you will give us an inventory of what you need. Let us know ahead of time because with our mill, production ranges from 1000 to 4000 board-feet of lumber per day, depending on size. All of our lumber is sold on a board-foot basis. How do you figure board-feet? If you multiply the thickness in inches by the width in inches, then multiply that by the length in feet and then divide this by 12, this will equal the board-feet of lumber in that board.

Here is an example:
2 x 4 x 16 = 132. Divide that by 12 and it equals 11 board-feet.
(2 being the thickness, 4 being the width, and 16 being
the length).
